Segregation in Progress New Delhi, India 2008 A waste picker is almost done with the fine segregation of his collected items. Plastic is not all the same, it appears in different guises: from soft to hard plastic, transparent or coloured ... So the recycling material has to be sorted before selling a certain kind of plastic to a waste trader. This waste picker shares his waste storage place with others from his community. This allows them to segregate the refuse in a very efficient way.  |
